By harnessing algae\u2019s natural ability to absorb CO\u2082 and release oxygen, the photobioreactor produces electrons that can be converted into electricity. Even better, it uses household wastewater as a growth medium<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW166366251 BCX8\">to<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW166366251 BCX8\"> reduc<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW166366251 BCX8\">e<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW166366251 BCX8\"> waste while cleaning the environment.<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW166366251 BCX8\">The students envision installing these photobioreactors on building walls and public facilities<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW166366251 BCX8\"> to<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW166366251 BCX8\"> turn city infrastructure into green energy sources. The system is built using affordable materials like activated charcoal from coconut shells and titanium oxide, making it both accessible and eco-friendly.
