“Design of Rooftop Solar Power System” Workshop by Dr. Henri P. Uranus
Dr. Henri P. Uranus, a lecturer of UPH gave a workshop on “Design of Rooftop Solar Power System” to students and staffs of SMK Don Bosco and SMK 2, Waingapu, Sumba on 19 August 2023.
That workshop were attended by more than 70 students and staffs of SMK Don Bosco Sumba and 50 students and staffs of SMK 2, Waingapu, Sumba. The workshop discussed methodology to design an on-grid rooftop solar power system using freely available tools like Google Map, Global Solar Atlas, PVWatts, and simple calculation. The workshop also discusses the functionality and tips for choosing components like PV-modules, inverters, cables, and protection circuits.
