Empowering Waste Management: Industrial Engineering Lecturers Community Service
UPH industrial engineering lecturers conducted a community service program in collaboration with SampahQu application on September 17th 2025. The event brought together administrators from five waste banks, including Kusuma GKI Cinere, Griya Hijau BSD, Lentera, Kencana Berseri, and Berlian Waste Banks, for a hands-on training session.
The lecturers introduced and trained participants on steps of using the SampahQu waste bank application, a digital tool that encourages proper waste sorting and disposal. Through the app, users can sort their garbage, weigh it, and deposit it at waste banks to earn money based on the mass of recyclable materials. This initiative not only promotes environmental awareness but also empowers communities to take part in reducing pollution through smart waste management.
